The World of Mixed Colors Media Painting

We have been working on this artwork for about 3 months, I am not sure it is ready, it is a constantly evolving artwork. I like the vivacity, the layers of colors and Textures that the children have created. This was a collaborative work of art between at 3 and 7Yr old, they both added paint elements over time.

I like this kind of open process art. It’s a pure exploration of colors and materials without a set agenda on how the artwork will turn out. This is a fantastic project to do as a family cooperation project or with friends.

AS:

We started our artwork with Layers of Colors. My children returned to painting several times over the course of about a month and added more and more layers of paint, creating beautiful colors and patterns. If you are worried that your child will only mix and brown all the colors (my little one likes to do this), offer only colors of a group of colors at a time, this way you will only get beautiful colors when the colors mix.

The color groups are as follows:

They can also be in pink and white – red, orange and yellow.
You can also add turquoise and white-yellow, green and blue.
They can also be in pink and white-blue, purple and red.
